Rules and Regulations

1. Students must maintain discipline and decorum while in the classes or while dissecting the bodies or in the college or within the college / hospital premises. Students are expected to be polite individually as well as in groups and show respect to all the teaching and non- teaching staff members, patients, and cadavers. They are not expected to participate in such activities which harm the academic environment or teacher-student relationship or fellow students.
2. Internal examination is 20 marks and university examination is 80 marks. Passing criteria for internal examination & university examination are 40% & 50% respectively, of each theory and practical separately. It's mandatory for all the students to appear in internal and university exams.
3. It's mandatory for all the students to carry their ID card during the college hours. If they don’t have an ID card, they will not be allowed inside the premises.
4. Students must wear neat and clean white aprons all the time while in college premises. They are expected to wear decent apparel following the professional dress code (For boys’ formal trousers and shirt, For girls kurta, leggings, dress, salwar kameez; nails must be unpainted and cut. In footwear, formal shoes are compulsory; Hairs must be tied properly (No open hair allowed) while observing and providing service to the patients as well as during college hours. If they do not find according professional code actions will be taken by the institute.
5. Students must follow college timings 9am to 4pm. Students must not be allowed to attend the class without permission if they are late or on leave without permission/information to the authorised person for more than 3 days, action will be taken. Leave will only be considered if it is sanctioned by the Class coordinator/ Clinical Training In charge. Emergency leave and leave more than 3 days will only be considered if their parents inform the class coordinator in written or through other forms of communication such as through email. In case of sickness/ illness, a student must be granted leave by the principal when he/ she submits the medical certificate from M.D physician/ M.S Orthopaedics. Students shall not be allowed to appear in University Examination if his/ her attendance is less than 75%.
6. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside class. If students found using mobiles inside the class, the mobile will be taken in custody for 15 days.
7. Ragging in any form is strictly not permitted and severe disciplinary action would be taken in case any student is found to indulge in ragging.
8. Students must accept the responsibility for upholding the integrity of the profession and accordingly to maintain it.
9. Students must abide by these above-mentioned rules and if they fail to adhere to these rules, they must initially be given a verbal warning. In case of continued non-compliance, their parents will be called upon and appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken.
