Nirbhay Chaubey

Dr. Nirbhay Kumar Chaubey currently working as a Professor and Dean of Computer Science at Ganpat University, Gujarat India. Prior to joining Ganpat University, he worked as an Associate Dean of Computer Science at Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, and Associate Professor of Computer Science at S.S.Agrawal Institute of Computer Science, Navsari, affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Before joining as the Associate Professor, he was working as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, at the Institute of Science & Technology for Advanced Studies & Research (ISTAR), Vallabh Vidyanagar, affiliated with the Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, and thereafter Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Prior to joining ISTAR, he worked as a Lecturer, Computer Science Department, C.U.Shah College of Engineering and Technology, Surendranagar, Saurashtra University, Gujarat, India. Professor Chaubey worked as a project trainee in Space Application Centre (SAC), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India during the year 2003-2004. Professor Nirbhay received Ph.D. Degree (Computer Science) from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India. He has also worked as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) for years 2011-2012.
A dedicated person with the capability of taking on new challenges of academic, research, and administrative leadership with over 20 years of teaching regular Post Graduate courses of Computer Science and in the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sponsored Career Oriented Program (COP), academic and research experience. His research interests lie in the areas of Wireless Networks (Architecture, Protocol Design, QoS, Routing, Mobility, and Security), IoT, Cyber Security, Ad Hoc Networks, Sensor Networks, and Cloud Computing. Established a reputed Scopus Indexed Springer International Conference on Computing Science, Communication and Security (COMS2) being organized every year. Published 60+ research papers in reputed International Journal and Conference proceedings indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, published 5 book chapters in Scopus Index Book. Authored/ Edited 5 Scopus-indexed international texts, reference books of Springer, IGI Global, and Lap Lambert publishers, contributed 5 patents (2 granted) and 1 copyright (granted). His published research works are well cited by the research community worldwide which shows his exceptional research performance, Google citations: 625 and H-index: 17. Dr. Chaubey has been very active in the technical community and served on the editorial board of various international journals, program committee member for international conferences and an active technical reviewer of repute Journals of IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and Wiley.
Under his guidance 05 Ph.D. students, 14 M.Tech students, and 140 MCA students completed and 8 Ph.D. students and 8 MCA Students continue for their quality research work, and one Ph.D. research scholar received the AWSAR Award-2020 of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India under his guidance.
Prof. Chaubey is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Senior Member of ACM, and a Life Member of the Computer Society of India. He has been actively associated with the IEEE India Council and IEEE Gujarat Section and served IEEE in various volunteer positions. He has received numerous awards including IEEE Outstanding Volunteer Award- Year 2015 (IEEE Region 10 Asia Pacific), Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Pedagogical Innovation Awards (PIA) -2015, IEEE Outstanding Branch Counselor Award - the Year 2010 (IEEE Region 10 Asia Pacific).
