Prior to becoming ProVC, Dr Saurabh Dave was Dean & Head of Ganpat University Incubation Centre Since January, 2015. He is a dynamic and visionary leader who plays a pivotal role in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and the growth of startups within the university ecosystem. With a deep understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape and a passion for empowering aspiring entrepreneurs, As a Head, he drives the strategic direction of the Incubation Centre, creating an environment that nurtures creativity, collaboration, and transformative ideas. They work closely with budding entrepreneurs, providing mentorship, guidance, and access to resources, networks, and funding opportunities, ensuring their success in navigating the challenges of starting and scaling a business. Through their strong leadership and industry expertise, the Head of Ganpat University Incubation Centre inspires and empowers the next generation of innovators, fueling economic growth and societal impact in the region and beyond.

 

Before assuming the role of Head AT Incubation Centre, Prof. Dave held positions as Program Coordinator and Research Coordinator at the Faculty of Computer Applications in Ganpat University for a decade. Additionally, since March 2016, he has been serving as the Program Manager at the Google Learning Centre of Excellence in Ganpat University, the sole Center of excellence worldwide affiliated with Google.

 

Dr. Saurabh Dave, a distinguished Professor at the Faculty of Computer Applications, holds a Ph.D. specialising in Data Modeling, BPE (Business Process Engineering), and Business Intelligence. He has made significant contributions to the field, including the development of his own data model, which has been adopted by numerous government agencies and institutions. Dr. Dave actively collaborates with both government and non-governmental data agencies, lending his expertise in business process engineering. Moreover, he has served as a Research Coordinator, providing valuable support to over 20 researchers in conducting their research projects at the Faculty of Computer Applications in Ganpat University.

 

Dr. Dave has been an integral part of Ganpat University since 2009, during which he has held numerous prominent positions. His tenure at the university has been marked by his exceptional contributions in implementing and establishing various emerging divisions. Through his visionary leadership, Dr. Dave has played a key role in shaping the university's growth and development, ensuring its continuous evolution to meet the demands of an ever-changing educational landscape.

 

At the Ganpat University Incubation Centre, Dr.Dave and his team have spearheaded a globally-oriented policy for incubation activities, aimed at supporting startups at various stages within the university. Under his guidance, the Incubation Centre has successfully mentored and nurtured over 125+ startups, while also facilitating the ideation and development of 250+ additional startup ventures. Prof. Dave's unwavering commitment to the entrepreneurial ecosystem is further exemplified by his accomplishment of raising an impressive sum of over 3 crore INR (30 million INR) in funds, in addition to securing invaluable resources and support for startups across different growth stages, categorised as Shishu (infant), Kishor (adolescent), and Tarun (young adult). This dedicated approach has positioned Ganpat University as a vibrant hub for innovation, fostering the growth and success of startups with a global perspective. He has also raised a private venture fund of INR 10.80 cores (108 millions INR). His efforts have generated more than 700 jobs in Gujarat state. He is also a convener of startups talk series the world of startup at Ganpat University which provide a platform to startups at various levels and NIVESH a platform for venture investment in startups.

 

Dr. Dave serves as the Vice President at Personality Development Varsity Private Limited, a startup company backed by GUNI-IC (Ganpat University and its affiliated institutions). In addition to this role, he also holds a director position at GBPL (Ganpat University Business Promotion Limited), a venture support funding company dedicated to supporting startups. GBPL is promoted by the same individuals who have played a significant role in establishing Ganpat University. Dr. Dave's involvement in these leadership positions showcases his commitment to nurturing startups and promoting entrepreneurship within the university's ecosystem. He is also the Director of Kachhua Solutions Private Limited and MUVR Technologies Private Limited.

 

He is the recipient of the most prestigious The President Award at Ganpat University three years in a row from 2019 - 2021. He is also a recipient of Startup Preshansha Award as a Mentor from the Education Department of Government of Gujarat.
